In 1956, the Charles E. Gillman Company got its start
in military production by supplying harnesses for the 2 1/2 and
5 ton Army trucks, to the Diamond T Truck Company located in
Chicago, Illinois. We then received orders from Kaiser Jeep and
Studebaker for Jeeps and Truck production in South Bend,
Indiana. This eventually led to our start up in tank production
work with Chrysler Corporation and FMC Corporation.
The Charles E. Gillman Company has been involved with the
manufacture of wiring systems for all Tactical Military Vehicles
for more than 40 years. Our harnesses are manufactured using
different styles of processes such as tape wrap, braided, heat
shrinkable, or laced. The assemblies may be potted or molded as
required.
